PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A speeding stop led to the arrest of a 19-year-old on charges of minor consumption and possession of marijuana.

According to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, the traffic stop occurred on Monday, April 24 along US 41 near 2nd Street near Lyford.

19-year-old Trinity N. Asher of Clinton had reportedly been driving at speeds of 90 mph in a 55 mph zone.

As a result of the stop, Asher was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana as well as minor consumption of alcohol.

The Sheriff said that Asher was also given a citation for speeding. Asher was taken to the Parke County Jail and as of Tuesday was being held on a $3,000 bond.
