TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The 12 points Creator’s Market is hosting a fundraiser this week to support victims of human trafficking.

Market manager Brenna Deal said she came up with the idea for a “chalk art” event after seeing the success of their “First Friday” series, and she believes this can be something that’s fun for the whole family.

“I am so excited because I want to see this entire space covered in chalk art. That is what is just going to make this area so beautiful, I would love to see kids of all ages, adults, all sorts of different people coming,” she said.

The event will be free to the community– but attendees do have an option to purchase chalk, and those proceeds will go towards Operation Underground Railroad.

“The whole idea is turning pain into beauty. That’s what I’m here to do, I’m here to shed hope, I hope to see people of all different ages come and coloring, and expressing themselves in a way that’s beautiful out here,” she said.

The event will be Thursday outside Illumination Wellness from 4-8 p.m.
