1 person trapped in vehicle after crash on US 41 in Farmersburg

FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One person remained trapped in a vehicle Monday afternoon following a crash in the northbound lane of US 41 in Farmersburg.

According to Lt. William Snead of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the two-vehicle crash occurred just before 3 p.m. when one car attempted to merge into the passing lane, driving into the side of a second vehicle.

Emergency personnel were working to remove the trapped driver while MyWabashValley.com was at the scene. At the time of the interview, Snead said it was too early to tell if there were any injuries due to the crash; however, the trapped driver was awake and alert.
