A Wabash Valley resident receives a prestigious award.
Retired Vigo County Parks Department Superintendent Keith Ruble received the Sagamore of the Wabash award.
State Representative Bob Heaton presented it at Fowler Park.
“I asked him last fall if he had ever received the Sagamore of the Wabash, and he said ‘No’, and I said, ‘Well if I have anything to do with it you will,” said Representative Bob Heaton.
The governor chooses the award winners based on their contributions to life in the state.
