TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The support continues to pour in for the Council on Domestic Abuse.

CODA recently met its goal of raising $150,000 to keep its emergency shelter open, but that’s not stopping people from continuing to give to the organization.

100+ Women Who Care presented $14,000 to CODA on Wednesday.

This donation comes after an outpouring of support from the community and various organizations.

It’s something that has really amazed CODA Executive Director Sarah Campbell.

“It has been a big surprise. We knew we would receive some support, but after the first couple of days we were seeing $7,000, then $10,000 the next day and then $15,000. Then we realized that this is actually going to happen and it’s been incredible exciting,” says Campbell.

CODA has a 24-hour crisis line for anyone who may need its services. That number is 800-566-CODA or 800-566-2632.
