Local Girl Scout creates Halloween costumes to local NICU babies

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It may not be Halloween yet, however, Union Hospital celebrated early with a “Boo in the NICU” event.

On Saturday, infants in the NICU got the chance to dress up at Union Hospital.

Local Girl Scout, Ella Scott, made the costumes for the children. Scott did this to work towards a silver award in Girl Scouts.

“I just wanted to maybe make the parents happy if they were having a hard time and Halloween is like my favorite holiday,” Ella Scott said.

Scott was in NICU herself when she was a baby, so this project was extra special for her.

Each family that participated will receive a framed photo of their child.
