Local crochet class helps students find fulfillment in learning new skill

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Honey B’s Crochet School was created to help people get back to their love for crochet.

The school’s owner, Betsy Beckner said she sees teaching classes as a way to bring back what she says is becoming a lost art.

Beckner said her monthly classes allows students to find fulfillment in learning a new skill and their work goes beyond the class itself.

“We have an individual here who actually started an after school program and she teaches middle schoolers how to crochet. So, I start here to learn how and then take it out into the community and share it with people you love,” she said.

The class meets monthly.
