Lending a Hand for Progress

“The changes that we’ve made at the shelter over the last four years have made a huge impact in our community,” says Laura Arial, Vincennes Animal Shelter director.

The young and the old have their own stories and if animals could talk, they’d say they need room to grow.

“This project would be an expansion of the front of the shelter,” says Arial.

With the plans rolled out, the Vincennes Animal Shelter hopes to obtain a meeting room, a new medical room, and a new reception area.

“We can do meetings,” says Arial. “We can do training. We can have lots of different programs that I’d like to start if we had the space.”

The goal right now is to keep up with fundraising, in hopes that they can receive enough to move forward with a least a portion of the project.

“We want to become a place for the community…we wanna be that resource to where we can really help the community and ultimately keep pets in homes,” says Arial.

Currently the shelter has around $130,000 to go towards the plans.
