Legacy of Giving Continues

A family’s Thanksgiving legacy continues to give back.

The 19th annual Wally King’s Feed-A-Family Thanksgiving Meal arrived at Joe’s Italian Restaurant early Thursday morning. Hundreds gathered to volunteer and help serve whomever walked in the door to feast on the various Thanksgiving treats. In 2002, Wally King passed away and the Wally King Angel Network was formed. Picking right up where he left off, keeping his charitable spirit alive.

“My dad had a heart for all people and he wouldn’t want anyone to be alone on any holiday and so he basically did this to bring people together. We deliver to shut ins, we deliver to high rises, if you’re an emergency responder stuck working today, you’ve gotten a meal from  us today,” says Wally’s Daughter and Angel Network Founder, Kristi Irwin.

By mid-afternoon, Wally King: Feed-A-Family already delivered over 400 meals across Sullivan County.
