A Lawrenceville native was one of two new troopers to join the Illinois State Police Dist. 22 last month.

Trooper Adrian Meyer is a graduate of Lawrenceville High School, Wabash Valley College, and Vincennes University.  He worked three years as a police officer for Mount Carmel Police Department prior to joining the Illinois State Police.

Meyer, along with Damon Miers, joined the ranks of the Illinois State Police on December 28, 2018 after graduating from the Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield.  The officers will be working with a Field Training Officer (FTO) implementing the knowledge and skills they learned in the academy.

District 22 is very fortunate to receive two fine young men into our district.” Commander Captain Michael Alvey. “Their presence will undoubtedly bolster our efforts to insure the safety of the citizens of the lower seven counties we serve and those who travel through it.”
