Korean Culture Celebrated

Special Event Highlights Korea

Terre Haute - A slice of Korean culture comes to the Wabash Valley.

A good sized crowd gathered at Indiana State's University Hall on Thursday evening, as the university hosted "Korean Night."

The event included high school students from West Vigo and Terre Haute South high schools who have been participating in a Korean culture program.

As part of the program, the students learned the Korean language, Taekwondo and a enjoyed a Korean buffet dinner.

"I'm really proud of my students so they will become great teachers understanding different culture," said Yongjon Park, I.S.U. associate professor.

A total of 16 participants enjoyed learning about Korea and its culture.
