“Kid-Preneurs” Sell Their Items

Charm School in Terre Haute put a new spin on “small” business Saturday by using little makers.

Kids aged 7 to 12 stuffed their crafts and treats in suitcases and sold them at Charm School. This is the third time owners hosted a little makers sale.

Items varied from Christmas ornaments to sugar scrubs hair bows, dips and candies. The event taught what organizers are calling “kid-prenuers” a thing or two about starting a business.

“It’s important because they could learn to sell their stuff and it’s a change to meet other people and if they ever want to start their own business this is a feel of what it might feel like,” kid-preneur Sophie Lubic said.

Charm School hopes to host another little makers event in May.
