A Vigo County official is now pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Recklessly Registering to Vote.
Jerome Kesler of Paris, Illinois was arrested earlier this year on allegations that from 2010 to 2014 he voted in some Vigo County elections while living in Illinois.
As part of the plea agreement today, Kesler is sentenced to a suspended one-year in jail, informal probation for one year, and 80 hours of community service.
Kesler is the Deputy Director of the Vigo County Emergency Management Agency.
