Judge reschedules next court hearing in Tanoos case

News

Danny Tanoos’ next court appearance in Marion County is now set for June.

The former Vigo County Schools superintendent was originally set to appear in court on Wednesday. However, a Marion County judge has issued a continuance, awaiting the Court of Appeals decision on an appeal.

The judge ruled last week that Tanoos is allowed to appeal her decision not to dismiss the three bribery charges against him.

Tanoos is accused of improperly awarding school work contracts in exchange for perks.

Tanoos is scheduled to be back in Marion County Court on June 12.
