A judge rejects a plea agreement involving a Vermillion county man who pleaded guilty to three counts of reckless homicide.

Ethan Lee admits he’s responsible for the crash that killed a high school classmate and 2 female friends in Cayuga in January of 2015.

He was speeding and lost control of  his truck. It slammed into a building killing his passengers.

The judge rejected the plea agreement.

The agreement called for Lee to serve time in the Vermillion County Jail during vacations, summer breaks and weekends, while he studies at IUPUI.

He would also serve time on in-home detention and be put on probation.

His drivers license would have been  suspended for a year.

Now it’s up to the prosecutor’s to decide what to do next.

He can either offer another plea agreement or take the case to trial, among other things.
