TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A sea of Jeeps and a ton of pink shirts resulted in a big donation toward a good cause.

Friday, the Wabash Valley Jeep Junkies presented a check of over $85,000 dollars to Pink of Terre Haute. The proceeds were raised after the group’s sixth annual “Going topless for pink” event.

The money will be used to help anyone battling breast cancer or undergoing treatments in a nine-county area.

“When somebody is diagnosed with cancer the world does not stop,” President and Cofounder of Pink of Terre Haute Darren Brucken said. “They still have bills to pay, their rent is still due, their mortgage is still due and we’re able to pitch in and help out with that which is just phenomenal.”

Brucken says over $250,000 has been raised through this event over the course of the last six years.
