Ivy Tech discusses safety, instruction ahead of fall semester

News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Ivy Tech in Terre Haute will begin classes on Monday. College officials say they’re taking new precautions and offering new options for students.

When classes begin, faculty will use seating charts to help with contact tracing in the event of positive cases.

Face coverings are required and classrooms have been reorganized for social distancing.

There are a variety of options when it comes to instruction. Those include traditional face-to-face leanring, hybrid learning and virtual.

The college is also trying something new called “learn anywhere” with a few courses, which will give students the choice to attend in-person, via zoom or catch up later online.
