TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State University’s student ran radio station WZIS hosted on Wednesday a toys for tots station.

The toys were collected at the fountain on Indiana State University’s campus. The radio station collaborated with local marines to host the Toys for Tots dropbox.

“There’s kids out there with single parents that may not have enough money to get toys for their kids,” Gavin Cook said. “We feel like any donation helps because if it comes down to it we will buy the toys. You don’t have to bring the toys. I feel like every child deserves a good Christmas no matter where they’re from no matter what situation they’re in financially.”

For those who would like to donate, there are Toys for Tots stations set up throughout the Wabash Valley.
