ISU hosts dance marathon to raise money for Riley Children’s Hospital

Saturday, ISU is hosting their annual Dance Marathon. Those in attendance will be dancing or standing on their feet for 12 consecutive hours.
The purpose for the event is to raise money and awareness for the Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Organizers of the event say that last year’s dance marathon raised around $200,000.
Sammy Edwards, the president of the event, says this is an event that many on ISU’s campus are passionate for.

“It’s really cool seeing so many college students be so passionate about something and share a passion that I’ve held so dear to my heart. So it’s really really cool seeing everybody finally come together and really celebrate today, it’s awesome,” Edwards said.

At the Dance Marathon, parents of children who have spent time at Riley Hospital will share their stories.
