TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State University held its inaugural Juneteenth recognition ceremony on Friday.
It took place in a virtual setting for anyone to watch.
The event began with a libation ceremony. The presentation featured remarks from faculty and staff members from various departments on campus.
The departments talked about the history of Juneteenth. They also discussed ways to provide cultural engagement and enhance equity, inclusion and social justice at ISU.
