INDOT holds statewide hiring event

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana Department of Transportation begins the search for crews who will help clear roads during the winter months.

INDOT held a statewide hiring fair in various cities Tuesday, including Terre Haute.

The department is hiring for more than 100 winter seasonal positions, which run from November through March. Starting pay is $16 an hour.

There are also some full-time positions available.

Ellis Lindsey, HR Manager for the Crawfordsville District, says “everyone here enjoys what they do. They do have to work in extreme conditions sometimes, but there are such a variety of things they can do.”
