AVON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association will award college scholarships to qualified high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in criminal justice studies.
Approximately 40 $750 scholarships will be awarded throughout the state.
To qualify for one of the scholarships, the applicant must be an Indiana resident, be a current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association, attend and Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field and enroll as a full-time student.
Applications are available from high school guidance counselors and local sheriff’s offices. The application can also be downloaded from the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association website. Applications must be received by the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association on or before April 1.
