OWEN County, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two people are dead after severe weather hit an Indiana campground Friday night.

First responders found the victims, 53-year-old Brett Kincaid, and 47-year-old Wendy Kincaid, both of Rossville, IN. following severe storms that hit the McCormick’s Creek State Park campground late Saturday.

Once the storms had passed, responders searched the area to ensure everyone was able to reach safety.

However, the responders were told two campers were unaccounted for, which prompted more searching of the area. Not long after that, they found the bodies of the victims.

At this time, no other information has been released on the incident.

The investigation continues.
