JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — A man died and two people were seriously injured in a crash in rural Greenwood Thursday evening.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 7:02 p.m. to the 700 block of N. Five Points Road after receiving reports of a crash with serious injuries.

Deputies found three individuals who were trapped inside a pair of vehicles when they arrived. The occupants had to be extricated before being taken to area hospitals.
The preliminary investigation found a Honda Accord was heading north on on Five Points Road when the driver, 42-year-old Sukhwinder Singh, lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the other lane, resulting in a head-on collision with a Cadillac Escalade.
Singh later died from his injuries after being taken to Eskenazi Hospital, the sheriff’s office said Friday. The driver of the Cadillac, a 52-year-old Indianapolis man, suffered serious injuries, as did his passenger, a 52-year-old woman. Both were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing. Both drivers were given blood draws, which is standard procedure in a serious crash.
