Indiana announces more than 500 new coronavirus cases

Coronavirus numbers in Indiana on July 27th, 2020

INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana State Department of Health announced Monday morning that the total number of coronavirus cases in the state has risen by 561 cases from Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 62,907 from over 700,000 tests.

The state also reported three additional deaths from the virus, bringing the total to 2,709 and another 197 deaths being reported as probable based on clinical diagnoses.

This news comes with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s mask mandate going into effect on Monday.

The state will host drive-thru testing clinics this week from Tuesday to Saturday throughout Indiana, with locations in Goshen, Elkhart, Boonville, Hammond, Knox, Nashville, Plymouth, Rensselear, Chrisney, Tell City, Vevay, Warsaw, Bluffton, West Lafayette and Gary.
