IDPH announces 639 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, down from Saturday

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 639 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois Sunday, including 6 additional confirmed deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 147,251 cases, including 7,020 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years.  Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 27,235 specimens for a total of 1,734,471.  The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from June 27 –July 3 is 2.6%.
