TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local association is reflecting on 60 years.
The Wabash Valley Human Resources Association celebrated 60 years of business at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Wednesday.
The mayor of Terre haute issued a proclamation recognizing their contribution to the area.
According to officials, the association is the second oldest chapter in Indiana, and has provided the area with professional development for decades.
They said the event encouraged the public to join in on the celebration, and it offered history of the association, at no cost.
“Many of them have been a part of the board of directors,” Jana Grimes, association president said. “They volunteer their time tirelessly, not only to this association but to the Wabash Valley community.”
Grimes said the organization has lasted this long because of the community and the it’s ability to adapt with the times.
