It’s Brown vs. Blue a battle of epic proportions, well sort of. And it’s all for a great cause.
The Terre Haute Police Department and The Vigo County Sheriff Department, tipped off at Terre Haute South High School.
The friendly basketball ball game, helps raise money for “Chances And Services For Youth” or CASY.
Officers, left it all on the court and the rivalry also saw some sick moves on the court.
In addition, to raising money the game also helps improve the relationship between local law enforcement and the community.
“The best part about it is sometimes our community doesn’t get to see us in a positive light,” Detective Travis Chesshire said. “You know anytime they see us it’s the worse day of their lives you know for us it’s everyday business it’s nice to be able to mingle with civilians in a setting like this where they can see we are just like they are we like to have fun.”
The sheriff’s office won the game.
There was also a celebration for THPD’s Chief John Plasse.
