TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The first ever colonial fair was held Sunday in Terre Haute.
Guests that attended were able to explore the 18th and 19th centuries. The event had reenactment stations set up allowing people to learn how to tan a hide, cook food, and how to load a musket.
Ron Turner, fair coordinator, said their goal was to teach the community more about Indiana’s colonial history.
“I hope folks come and get an hour or so, come out visit, talk with us, chat with us, learn a little bit about history of this area of Indiana,” Ron Turner explained.
Organizers said they hope to continue this event next year.
