With schools out for summer break, child care can get expensive.
But several Sullivan high school girls started a free summer program for local children.
Madi Young and Reagan Gamble started the helping hands project with only the help from a friend.
Helping Hands is a free service which gives lunch and snacks to children as well as crafts and outdoor games.
The crafts have a very big impact on the community.
Helping hands have projects planned like making treats for the humane society… as well as meals for families.
The program is every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 2 pm.
Reagan Gamble says its all about the kids making a difference in the community.
