Hearing regarding ‘adult-oriented business’ postponed

A public hearing regarding a proposed “adult-oriented” business in Terre Haute has been postponed.

Mike Bickers, owner of property at 3295 N. Fruitridge Ave. submitted an application for a special use permit to allow the adult-oriented business to open at the location.

A public hearing was originally schedule for May 1; however, Bickers asked the Terre Haute Board of Zoning Appeals to table the matter to allow him to consult an attorney and to prepare a site plan.

The hearing will now be held at 9 a.m. June 5 at the Vigo County Government Center at 127 Oak Street in Terre Haute.
