A local health center breaks ground on an expansion project.
Valley Professionals Community Health Center in Clinton received $1 million in capital funding in 2016. The center is using that money to expand.
The expansion will include adding 15,870 square feet to the building.
It will add 16 new exam rooms, a group treatment room, behavioral treatment rooms, as well as new office and work space.
Officials say the increase in capacity will allow them to see more patients and schedule more patient visits.
Halstead Architects will handle the design and oversight of the project, while Garmong Construction will build the new space.
