On this Thanksgiving, many local churches opened their doors to feed the congregation and others in the community.
It’s an annual event for the followers at Saint Patrick’s in Terre Haute. It takes a lot of hard work and good cooking to put on this dinner. A lot of the volunteers are children who attend St. Patrick’s School and their families.
“I like to come mainly because I appreciate what they’re doing here. the food and everything is great, the kindness and warmth is here. but I like to come here just to eat with people, just be wtih people,” says Mike Hakeem.
Typically, Saint Patrick’s will deliver about 250 meals and then they welcome the same number of people to eat-in at the church.
