The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has announced Brandon Halleck as the Downtown Terre Haute Advisory Board President.
Halleck is a longtime Terre Haute resident. He was appointed to the position this month.
He co-owns The Dance Studio with his wife Mallory. He also is the Chief Operating Officer at Chances and Services for Youth (CASY).
Halleck created the Dancing with the Terre Haute Stars fundraiser, which generates more than $185,000 each year. Overall, the event has generated over $1 million.
“It is no secret that I embrace this community so much,” Halleck says. “I couldn’t be prouder to be part of a community that gives back and supports one another. As someone that works in both non-profit and as a downtown business owner myself, I think I bring a helpful perspective to the position. I’m excited to get started; I want to continue to see Downtown Terre Haute succeed.”
Downtown Terre Haute was brought under the Chamber of Commerce back in March of 2017.
The advisory board, of which Halleck will serve as president, will be working on a strategic plan that officials say will ensure the group’s efforts are in line with the needs of both downtown businesses and the entire community.
