Guilty Plea Deal Drops Murder Charge

News

A woman originally charged with murder has entered a plea agreement, for robbery.
Ashley Lynn Johnson appeared in court on Tuesday to plead guilty to charges of Count 2 Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, a level two felony.
The murder charge and other counts she faced were dismissed.
It all stems from the shooting death of 34-year-old David Carroll that happened in October of last year.
The judge accepted Johnson’s plea and set a sentencing hearing for October 30.
She could face 25 years in prison.
