SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker released guidelines Sunday for reopening businesses as the state prepares to enter the next phase of the Restore Illinois plan.
The governor says all four regions of the state are on track to advance to Phase 3 of the plan in the coming days.
According to a news release from the governor’s office, Phase 3 will allow the reopening of businesses in the following industries: retail, offices, manufacturing, barbershops and salons, summer programs, various outdoor recreation activities and bars and restaurants for outdoor dining.
Guidelines, as well as toolkits for businesses, are posted on the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity website.
In addition to the reopening of specific businesses, the governor’s office says Phase 3 will allow small group gatherings of 10 people or fewer, participation in select sports and outdoor activities such as tennis, boating and camping, as well as other activities where social distancing can be practiced.
