It was a good day to be blue at the Blueberry Festival Thursday in Terre Haute!
The event took place along the lawn of the Masonic Temple at 224 North Eighth Street. Folks enjoyed blueberry sundaes, blueberry rolls, and blueberries in general! The festival serves as a community gathering, complete with food and live music and it all helps the first community owned grocery store.
“We would love to have a fully open grocery store in a year that’s always been our goal and our timeline. Unfortunately we’ve come really close a couple of times and we’ve fallen through. But, we still have a great core of volunteers that are really excited about making this project happen, we really look forward to the year that we can host this in our Terre Haute Foods parking lot,” says Terre Haute Foods Executive Director T.J. Hellmann.
Today, several from the community signed up to become Terre Foods Co-Op members.
