Guess the artist for chance to win backstage passes

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois State Fair announced a free show will be added to the Illinois Lottery Grandstand lineup, but there is a catch: fans must guess who the artist is going to be.

“Without giving too much away, I can promise you it is a big-name act that everyone will recognize when the concert is announced, said Kevin Gordon, Illinois State Fair.

The Illinois State Fair is giving fans a chance for 10 lucky winners to win backstage passes for the Aug. 8 concert if they can guess who that artist is.

Clues will be given Monday through Friday from June 24 to July 5 on the Illinois State Fair Facebook page.

To enter to win, send guess via direct message to the Illinois State Fair on Facebook by 11:59 p.m. July 7.

Ten winners that submit the correct answer will be drawn when the mystery artist is announced live the morning of July 8 on a Midwest Family Broadcasting station (WQLZ, WNNS, WMAY, or US 92.7).

Along with the meet and greet passes, the winners will receive admission and parking to the Fair for Thursday night.

Winners must be 16 years or older and be able to provide a valid photo ID.

The free concert will be sponsored by Central Illinois Toyota dealers.

“We can’t thank the Central Illinois Toyota Dealers enough. It’s huge to be able to add an opening night concert,” said Gordon.
