Bicknell police chief officially charged with battery

VINCENNES, Ind. — After being arrested in the spring, the Bicknell police chief was officially charged last week with battery against a public safety official.

The charge against Terry Stremming stemmed from an incident that occurred April 22.

According to court records, Stremming went to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office in an attempt to remove a laptop that was being held as evidence in a misconduct case against another officer in the Bicknell Police Department.

When the victim kept Stremming from taking the laptop, he allegedly pushed her against a wall.
