Food drive supports ‘Pack it Back’ summer food program

News

WTWO invites the community to help “Pack it Back” for the summer.

The program provides children in need with backpacks stuffed with food for summer break.

To help fill the backpacks, food can be dropped off at several locations, including Baesler’s Market in Terre Haute. The store has pre-made backs with needed items that can be purchased and donated at checkout.

“When you come into the store, we have pre-made-up bags by the registers, by the checkout, and you just grab a bag for the desired amount you’d like, and your cashier will ring it up and put it in the bin, and you’re good to go,” said Baesler’s representative Kristine O’Hare

Food can be dropped off now through May 17 at Toyota of Terre Haute, Save-A-Lot and Baesler’s.
