SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Shelburn community welcomed locals with an appetite to help the Senior Nutrition Center.
A fish fry was held Saturday afternoon for the Senior Nutrition Center to keep its doors open.
Money raised from the event went to paying bills that allow the center to be open.
Community members could either eat in or carry out their meals.
“I would like to have some of the younger ones step in to help out, if possible. I know their lives are busy with children and other things but, it would sure help keep this going,” organizer, Lois Thompson said.
The cost of the event was $9 for adults and $4 for children.
