Terre Haute - On Wednesday, folks across the nation celebrated the 242nd birthday of the United States of America.
Folks around the Wabash Valley enjoyed their Fourth of July with the usual holiday traditions; including cookouts, family gatherings, parades and of course fireworks.
One of those traditions was celebrated with the fireworks spectacle out at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute.
It was a big turnout for Wednesday night's festivities, as several families gathered, on land and by water, to watch one of the most electrifying fireworks shows in the Valley.
In fact some spectators arrived at the park as early as this Wednesday afternoon just to watch the main event.
The show kicked off at around 10 p.m., and as always it was another great ending for another great Independence Day.
We hope that many of you got a chance to come out and enjoy a great time with family and friends and watch as the night sky turn into a sea of colors.
