UPDATE: We now have new information on the house fire in Clark County that injured several firefighters.
We have learned that a total of four firefighters were injured while battling the blaze; two were treated for minor injuries at the scene, one was driven to a local hospital and the other was airlifted. The man that was airlifted is listed to be in serious condition.
While battling the blaze, the back end of the structure collapsed and a metal roof fell on top of six firefighters. Two managed to get out, but the four that were injured were entrapped inside.
We still have crews on the scene and will bring you more updates as they become available.
ORIGINAL: Three firefighters are injured while battling a house fire in Clark County, Illinois.
It happened on Route 1 south of West Union around 11:30 Central Time.
The Marshall Fire Chief says two West Union firefighters and a Hutsonville firefighter were hurt when part of the house collapsed.
At least one of the firefighters was airlifted and one was transported to a Terre Haute hospital.
