Saturday marked the 16th year for the Sullivan FFA Alumni Consignment Auction.
Four auctioneers worked to auction off items from approximately 600 lots.
Items included farma and livestock equipment, lawn and garden items, and an assortment of vintage farm tractors.
The Sullivan FFA chapter earns money through food sales and donations, and donated items Satuday went directly to FFA alumni.
“This auction has a really big economic impact on our community it’s become, over the years, just a major community event and it really helps out our community because not only the people who are selling items and purchasing items does it help them but also just our economic impact here in the community in general. These people come and they spend more money here in the county we have people from several states that come here just for this auction every year,” said Sullivan FFA Advisor Kevin Cross.
The auction is said to have brought 1000 people from around the country in years past.
