VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A taste of Latin culture is coming to Knox County on August 27th.

The Wabash Valley Progressives will hold Festival Latino at the Vincennes Riverwalk.

The event is free and open to the public. Activities include live music, authentic Latino food and vendors, activities for kids, fireworks, and a traditional Mexican dance troupe performance.

Children can take part in crafts, games, face painting, pinãtas, and superball drops.

Festival Latino kicks off at 4:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m.

Mariachi Los Alegres, a mariachi band based in Louisville, starts the festivities. Returning this year, the Ballet Folklorico Mosaicos of Indianapolis shares the traditions and culture of Mexico.
