Fatal crash on I-70 closed westbound lanes for several hours

According to Indiana State police, one person died in a crash on Interstate 70 in Clay County about 2:30 Monday morning.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department says the accident involved two semis and at least one passenger vehicle in the westbound lanes near the Clay/Putnam County line.

The westbound lanes were closed for several hours, but have since re-opened.

The victim’s name has not been released.
