Failure to Pay Inn Keeper Tax Results in Arrest

News

At around 10:00 AM Wednesday morning, Indiana State Police served a Parke County Circuit Court search warrant at the Cabins in Hobson Farms located at the address of 8801 North Henley Road in Marshall, IN.

During a search, detectives seized several documents relating to the investigation.

The Parke County Prosecutor’s Office was notified earlier this year in June about the alleged violation.

During a near two month investigation, information was uncovered alleging that Royden Hobson, 61, of the above address had failed to pay inn keeper’s taxes to the County of Parke since 2014.

Hobson was arrested and incarcerated in the Parke County Jail on $10,000 bond. He was charged with one count of Taxation-Failure to Remit Taxes Held in Trust, a Level 6 felony.
