This weekend, the new documentary about local Holocaust survivor Eva Kor will premiere in Terre Haute.
“Eva” is by filmmaker Ted Green, co-producer Mika Brown and WFYI Public Media.
The film had its world premiere in front of a sold out audience in Indianapolis last week.
From surviving the Holocaust to struggles here in the U.S., it shows Eva’s journey to forgiveness.
“To paraphrase one of Eva’s quotes in the film,” says Green, “if the film increases understanding of this historical figure, if it helps to carry her inspiration a little further, if it drives even just a few people to action, to create change the way she’s created change, then I will be happy. Grateful, I already am.”
“I hope everyone in Terre Haute comes to see the film,” says Kor, “because I think you will learn about who you are and what you can do with your life.”
The Terre Haute premiere is this Saturday, April 14, at 7 P.M. at ISU’s Tilson Auditorium.
