Election Fatigue

News

Hillary Clinton says “Listening to Donald Trump’s campaign, I truly doubt that he has ever read the Constitution.”

Donald Trump says “Honestly she has less energy than Jeb Bush.”

It’s been this way for about 2 years now. The good news for many people, just 11 days until it’s over. Many voters are looking forward to November 8th, and not just so they can practice their Constitutional right..

Kim Novotney says “I am ready for it to be over.”

Jim Bell says “Well I’ll be glad when it’s over.”

Tseten Son says “I am 100 percent ready for it to be done.”

Cynthia Riddle says “I am ready for it to be over with.”

Those were the first words out of their mouths, just by asking, “What are your thoughts on the election?” And those were only the people who wanted to be on camera. Nobody I spoke to said “This election has been fun.”

Jim Bell says “I’m tired of hearing all the negative politicking and the criticizing of each other. To me it just seems like one of the worst elections in my life, particularly in the way the presidential candidates have acted.”

And it’s not just this way locally. In its annual stress in America survey, the American Psychological Association found that 52 percent of Americans are stressed out by this year’s Presidential election.”

Kim Novotney says “I think people are afraid to say who they’re voting for, they don’t want to say.”

That stress and uncertainty has several people heading to the polls early.

Tseten Son says “I’m probably going to early vote so i can get it done. And then I’m going to turn off Facebook, turn off the tv, turn off everything.”

The 2016 election has been so bothersome to folks that some people are even asking for shortened election seasons.

Jim Bell says “I think for several years it’s just gotten out of hand, I would like to see personally the election season shortened. It seems like once this election is over they’ll already start campaigning for the next presidential election and i think that’s crazy.”
