The Vigo County Election Board is making sure its voting equipment is in working order.
The board tested its equipment Thursday for the upcoming municipal primary.
They do this before every election as required by the state.
Vigo County Clerk Brad Newman says the test went fantastic and he hopes turnout is just as great.
“Hopefully we get a huge turnout. So far, we’ve done real well as far as turnout goes and we’d love to see that continue not just in the county races, but with the city race coming up as well as the West Terre Haute race,” says Newman.
The Indiana municipal primary is May 7.
Newman also wants people to know that early voting is starting soon.
